Calebs Say the Darndest Things
Caleb was playing 20 q's, the electronic game. He was trying to see if it could guess a duck. When it asked the question "Does it have cash value?" he asked me the meaning. I said if you can buy it, it has cash value. So he answered "sometimes", not yes or no, because you can "buy one at a pet store, but sometimes they are just outside." Then he added that you could get one for free if you were in a wheelchair.
"Why is that?" I asked.
"Because it's hard for them to reach in their pockets" he said. "Isn't it hard for them to reach into their pockets?"
I explained some other possibilities for someone in a wheelchair to carry loose change. He liked my answers.
My next step, of course, was to reherse the entire conversation for Christy so that we could both have a laugh.
